Alan Chai is an experienced technology leader with global experience having worked and lived in 4 continents, 7 countries and cross-cultures in energy industry. Skilled in Digital Transformation for Enterprise, Power Platform digital enablement, recognised by Microsoft as select few Power Apps Champs for his achievements in Power Platform, and also awarded the recognition as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP).
Alan has in depth experience in IT Service Management, Quality Management, Software Lifecycle Development and IT Management. A strategist and technologist in driving digital journey for organisation with global footprint.
Alan graduated as an electrical engineer from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. His first job was to bring Internet to offshore platforms and rigs, first step into modernising offshore fleet with digitalisation of oilfield services. He spent his first few years after school deploying end-to-end network connectivity services, from establishing satellite connectivity with Inmarsat to configuration of routers and switches, desktop workstation imaging and project managing the entire supply chain and logistics for 18 platforms and rigs over two years.
